EARLY HISTORY OF BLUNT

A directory in August, 1883 totaled the following business places: 6 hotels, 12 groceries, 11 law and land offices, 9 lumber yards, 5 dry good stores, 4 clothing stores, 4 restaurants, 4 drug stores, 4 liveries, 6 hardware, 5 saloons, 4 bakeries, 3 flour and feed stores, 3 billiard halls, 3 laundries, 7 doctors, 3 blacksmiths, 2-townsite companies, 2 meat markets, 2 furniture stores, 2 paint shops, 2 harness shops, 2 boarding houses, 2 warehouses, 2 boot and shoe stores, 2 printing offices, 2 barber shops, and one each millinery, tin shop, carriage shop, 2 lunch rooms and 2 jewelry stores.
